Elbaite, smoky quartz

This super and top class combination of long gemy tourmaline and quartz is totally 6,5 cm long and displays as a small size killer from pegmatite locality where only fragmented small crystals are normally found. Tourmalines from the remote Nepal are rare and very seldom available. This long rubellite crystal has a pale apple-green termination with striking yellow-green speckles and a rose prism and base of crystal (with different levels of colour intensity). Termination has double point showing (1011)(0-111)(-1101) pyramid faces. The tourmaline crystal is perfectly sitting on a beautiful smoky quartz crystals matrix. This specimen is great investment - combination of aestetic shape, lustre, quality and rarity! It is probably the best of known tourmaline matrix specimens from Nepal.
